Oil Soaked Concrete is an issue that can be troublesome to say the least.
Your plant floor needs to be clean for several reasons including OSHA requirement for slip and fall prevention and general housekeeping. With increase environmental requirements, floor slabs must be sealed to prevent contamination of soil under your slab as well as preventing water vapor or chemicals from percolating up into your building from the soil below.
Oil absorbed into your floor makes it very difficult to bond a barrier coating or sealant to the concrete slab. Chemical Containment now has solutions to meet the demands of industry by providing a safe and long-lasting floor protection plan.
Oil Resistant Barriers Used For Chemical Containment?
The New Seal Bond MX-11 Oil Resistant Barrier (ORB) can provide a lower cost secondary containment alternative.
We have successfully used the MX-11 product to seal concrete joints and cracks from infiltration from oil, gasoline and solvents. The material is very heat/cold and UV resistant giving you long-term protection for your containments. This unique material will make you re-think how you use sealants in the future.
